Henning Trog (Bassoon) was born in Peine, Lower Saxony. He studied church music while still at school and, during his bassoon studies with Albert Hennige in Detmold, was a member both of the "Detmolder Bläserkreis" and the "Deutsch Bach-Solisten". He joined the Berliner Philharmoniker in 1965.
For over 40 years Henning Trog has been a veritable "pillar" of the Berliner Philharmoniker, an impassioned chamber musician, a member of numerous Philharmonic ensembles as well as teacher of bassoon and chamber music at diverse Festivals, including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Academy. In addition, he is a member of the hugely successful cabaret ensemble "Eine Kleine Lachmusik".
